Why does my garage door make a scraping noise?
You most probably have a frayed lift cable. Inspect both cables from top to bottom very closely. If you find signs of fraying, get the respective cable replaced as soon as possible. Usually, the two don’t get frayed at the same rate. Scraping sounds could also be caused by misalignment of the vertical and horizontal sections of the tracks. Align them properly and tighten the brackets.
We have two wild sons, is aluminum a good choice for our door?
Aluminum dents easily and that takes time and money to repair. Especially with boys whom might want to play football, it's wise to go with a stronger material like steel or wood.
Can I use any kind of silicone spray on my door?
There are special kinds of silicone spray you can use on garage doors. Spray it on a rag and wipe it on the base so no water or ice will stick on it!
When should I replace my garage door?
You should consider replacing your garage door whenever it does not operate well. If the sensors won’t detect your remote, the doors do not align with each other, the gate won’t close properly, or the paint looks so pale. When these things occur, don’t attempt to fix it on your own. This may worsen the situation. Instead, contact our experts to fix it for you.
